This year's Women in Mining Forum explores how women from all facets of the minerals industry are helping to break down the barriers to full inclusion in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

A distinguished line-up of panelists at the Women in Mining Forum will share personal and professional accounts of their journeys to overcome conventional limitations and create a new dynamic on the mining front. This is a not-to-be-missed event for women and men alike.

Women in Mining Reception

A two-hour combined Women in Mining/VIP Reception following the Forum will afford attendees a unique opportunity to mingle one-on-one with industry peers, trailblazers and senior executives - both male and female.

Women of the Ring of Fire

"The women of the Ring of Fire are like the land that surrounds them: diverse, magnificent and enduring."

The WIM Reception will feature an inspirational keynote address by Leanne Hall, Vice-President Human Resources, Noront Resources Ltd. entitled "Women of the Ring of Fire."

Learn how ground-breaking strategies and activities at Noront, as well as collaborative endeavours with Mary Hayes, President and CEO of Engage Learning Systems, are at work to promote gender diversity, empowerment of women, Aboriginal inclusion and community engagement in north-western Ontario.

Cost: The cost of the Women in Mining Forum & Reception is included in the Full Conference delegate registration fee. There will be an additional cost of $25 for the Reception.

A registration fee of $50 applies for participation in the Women in Mining Forum & Reception only, visitors to the CIM Exhibition, exhibitor staff and one-day Conference and Workshop participants.
